Supported Employment assists clients in both obtaining and maintaining community-based employment through our job development and coaching services.
A job developer supports clients in identifying interests and matching with employment opportunities in community. Job developers also support clients to fill out applications, prepare resumes and refine interview skills. Once a job is obtained, a job coach assists clients to learn job responsibilities, the culture and values of the work environment, job accommodations and explains how employment affects their benefits. Supported Employment serves adults age 18 and older who are diagnosed with a developmental and/or intellectual disability in Polk and surrounding counties.
Funding Accepted: Amerigroup, Iowa Total Care, Fee for Service/HIPP Medicaid Waiver, Habilitation (HAB), and Private Pay. Funding is also accepted through Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services if the individual is of transitional age, 18-24.
