Our Programs

We do this through life-changing programs\services and on-the-ground supports for children and adults with disabilities, families, and local communities.

Supported Employment
Supported Employment assists clients in both obtaining and maintaining community-based employment. A job developer supports clients in determining employment opportunities they are interested in and in finding a job. Job developers also support clients to fill out applications, prepare resumes and perfect interview skills. -
Project SEARCH
Our Project SEARCH internship program places young adults with special needs, who have completed their high school graduation requirements, in a real working environment, giving them skills to prepare for the workforce. Easterseals Iowa supports our clients to work in their community to gain greater independence. -
TEAM
Transitioning to Employment and Advocating for Myself (TEAM) is a collaboration between Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Des Moines Public Schools and Easterseals Iowa. -
Rural Solutions
Rural Solutions offers hope for many farm families and rural residents with disabilities. It helps them to either stay or return to farming and their communities. Team members know about resources in the state for rural families with disabilities. They actively seek services to improve their lives. -

The Assistive Technology Program supports Iowans in finding and using the assistive technology (AT) they need for their daily lives.
