Favorite Quote: I’ve really enjoyed thinking about an adjustment to the golden rule - the platinum rule. Rather than treating others the way you would want to be treated, the platinum rule shifts the thinking to treat others the way they want to be treated. Societally, we are learning to grow and learn about others’ unique experiences. It’s not acceptable to treat everyone like yourself, because everyone has different struggles, backgrounds, privileges, and blind spots. I really try to apply the platinum rule in all aspects of my life.
