Chris faced a very difficult time this year.  His grandmother, who was one of his major sources of support, passed away. His mother lives out of state and was concerned he was not going to be able to continue to live independently.

Chris utilizes the supports provided by Service Coordination and Hourly Supported Community Living to help him stay motivated working towards his goals and to continue to live independently.

He utilizes the bus system and has been improving traveling to new places; he is keeping up with his routine, is learning to adjust to larger groups of people and is allowing people into his apartment to assist him.
Chris is doing a much better job remaining calm with staff, as well.  Daily phone calls to his mother have given him family support while still living independently. 

Chris faced a difficult year ~ and was able to come out on top, still living independently!
